Early identification and intervention is essential in a time-sensitive illness like a heart attack. LERN’s education efforts are focused on increase awareness about the identification of symptoms and the importance of early intervention.
Dr. Zee Ali, LERN’s past STEMI Medical Director, has developed an educational video describing LERN’s STEMI System of Care, its various components, and the importance of early intervention and treatment.

AHA Now Accepting Applications for 2021 American Heart Association National Mission: Lifeline STEMI EMS Recognition

The American Heart Association’s Mission: Lifeline EMS recognition is a program designed to showcase Emergency Medical Service organizations across the nation for excellent STEMI care. The recognition application process is now open until April 30, 2021 for January 1 – December 31, 2020 patients and data.

Interested in applying? EMS Agencies that submitted a Mission: Lifeline EMS Recognition application last year should have received an email earlier in January containing the unique link to the 2021 application.

For any interested agency that either did not receive the unique link to the application or any agency that did not submit an application last year, please complete the 2021 Mission: Lifeline EMS Application Request form. Once this request form is submitted, an email response with a link specific for your agency will be received within 3-5 days. (Links are sent out every Wednesday and Friday)
